- ਜਿਨਿ ਜਾਤਾ ਤਿਸ ਕੀ ਇਹ ਰਹਤ ॥ Jini jaataa tis kee ih Rahat : This is the ‘Rahat’ of him who Knows … (sggs 294).
According to the Sri Guru Granth Sahib (SGGS), what is the ‘Rahat’ of the one who “Knows” (Brahm, Paramaatam, Mool-ਮੂਲ, Truth, Source, Reality, Highest Spiritual Realization…)?
- ਸਚੁ ਕਰਣੀ ਸਚੁ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਰਹਤ ॥ …: Sachu karanee sachu taa kee Rahat… (sggs 283).
- ਸੰਤ ਰਹਤ ਸੁਨਹੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਾਈ ॥… : Sant Rahat sunahu mere bhaaee… (sggs 392).
- ਦਸਵੈ ਦੁਆਰਿ ਰਹਤ ਕਰੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਭਵਣ ਸੋਝੀ ਪਾਇ ॥੩॥: Dasavai duaari rahat kare tribhavan sojhee paai (sggs 490).
- ਅਪੁ ਤੇਜੁ ਬਾਇ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮੀ ਆਕਾਸਾ ॥ ਐਸੀ ਰਹਤ ਰਹਉ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਸਾ ॥: Apu teju baai prithamee aakaasaa. Aisee rahat rahaou hari paasaa (sggs 327).
Seeing the world as the Gurbani sees it
The Gurmat (i.e., the Aatam-Giaan, Bibek-Budhi – ਆਤਮ ਗਿਆਨ, ਬਿਬੇਕ ਬੁਧਿ – of the Gurbani…) is meant to be thoroughly understood and applied.
